The Milwaukee-Eight engine, introduced by Harley-Davidson in 2016, represents a significant evolution in the brand's iconic V-Twin powertrain. Named for its four valves per cylinder (totaling eight), the Milwaukee-Eight is known for delivering improved power, torque, and smoother performance compared to its predecessors. Central to the engine's operation are the Milwaukee-Eight cams, which play a crucial role in optimizing valve timing and engine breathing — enhancing both low-end torque and high-rev power for a more responsive, refined ride.
The WM8-22XE M8 chain drive camshaft is a high-output, bolt-in performance upgrade engineered to deliver maximum horsepower and torque with stock heads and valve springs. Available as cam only or as a complete install kit with updated oil pump, adjustable pushrods, lifter guides, tappet set, gaskets, and hardware, it is designed for Milwaukee-Eight Harley-Davidson engines and requires adjustable pushrods.
The WM8-408X chain drive camshaft kit is a high-performance aftermarket upgrade for Harley-Davidson M8 engines and 408 applications. With .520 intake lift, 46/22 exhaust lift and support for big bore M8 setups up to 11.5:1 compression, it is designed to deliver excellent torque and horsepower. Selected variants can include a late-model Harley oil pump, S&S EZ pushrod kit in black or chrome, CR50 lifter guides, Feuling tappet set, camshaft installation hardware, gasket kits, cam drive sprocket fasteners, heavy-duty clutch springs and assembly lube for a more complete installation solution.
